PENGUIN CHALLENGE - No clothing rules - wear anything and as much as you like. Penguin Challenge Entry Form
POLAR BEAR CHALLENGE - You may only wear a one or two piece swimsuit of standard swimsuit fabric ( not a tri suit or suit made of thermal material ) that does not extend beyond the shoulders or below the knees. Earplug, noseclips and goggles that do not cover the nostrils are also allowed. One swimhat of latex, silicone or fabric.
NOTHING ELSE !!! - NO SHOES, NO BOOTS, NO SOCKS, NO GLOVES, NO RASH VEST, NO WETSUIT, NO DOUBLE HATTING, NO BOBBLE HATS, NO FANCY HATS.
You can enter both events - for example you may want to do the longer distances as a Penguin but a quick dip as a Polar Bear at the end of your swim when you take off the extra layers.
You may swap from any Polar Bear level to the equivalent ( or a lower ) Penguin level at any time during the season but not vice versa.
Each month I will request that you confirm you have done your swims ( no evidence is required other than for Jedi and Ninja levels ). For November ONLY - if you complete a higher level of swims than that which you registered for I will elevate you to the higher level - Maximum of Arctic / Antatctic.
If you do not compete the minimum requirement for your level at any month I will swap you to the level you have completed.
There is a 'Joker' you can play which will give you a complete pass for one calender month which is useful for when life and stuff gets in the way of swimming. You may play your 'Joker' only once.
