2021/22 will have new Penguin Challenges and an adjustment to the existing Polar Bear Classic, Silver, Gold, Arctic and Jedi Challenges as well as a new ' Apprentice' level for both.
The Penguin Challenge will mirror the Polar Bear Challenge with Classic, Silver, Gold, Antarctic, Ninja Apprentice and Ninja levels.
Classic - dip, dunk, bob or otherwise 'Just Get In ! ' twice a month - as long as you submerge up to your shoulders that's all you need to do.
Silver - swim 250 metres twice a month
Gold - swim 1000 metres each month to include a minimum distance of 250 metres twice a month.
Arctic / Antarctic - swim 3000 metres each month to include a minimum distance of 250 metres twice a month.
Jedi Apprentice / Ninja Apprentice - swim 3000 metres each month to include a minimum distance of 250 metres twice a month and complete half of the Jedi / Ninja specified swims either by distance or by temperature ( see Here for more info ).
Jedi / Ninja - swim 3000 metres each month to include a minimum distance of 250 metres twice a month and complete 10 specified swims
You may drop down through the levels if you find the going tough but you cannot go up.
You may swap from any Polar Bear level to the equivalent ( or a lower ) Penguin level if you need to.
You cannot swap from Penguin to Polar Bear.
If you do not complete your minimum requirement at your selected level you will be swapped to the level you have completed.
